Write, edit, review, and publish Ghost stories from a native workspace built for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Spectrapress gives Ghost publishers a focused place to work with posts and pages without replacing Ghost itself. Connect an existing publication, bring its library into the app, make deliberate edits, and choose when those changes return to Ghost.
Work with the Ghost content you already have
Pull existing posts and pages into a site-aware Library. Spectrapress keeps posts and pages distinct and brings across titles, story content, featured images, tags, excerpts, publication details, and other supported metadata.
You can also begin a new local draft and send it to the Ghost site you choose when it is ready.
Build visual stories
Compose paragraphs and headings alongside images, galleries, dividers, callouts, buttons, embeds, bookmarks, code, HTML, and other Ghost content cards. Photo-rich stories remain organized as editable blocks instead of becoming one long, fragile document.
Some Ghost card types are not yet editable natively. When Spectrapress encounters an unfamiliar card, it preserves the original Ghost data rather than silently discarding it.
Know what changed
Spectrapress distinguishes local work from the latest version pulled from Ghost. Comparison, sync status, undo and redo, and reviewed reversion tools help you understand a change before replacing the server copy.
Synchronization is deliberate. Spectrapress does not silently publish a local edit merely because it exists on another device.
Hand work off for review
Ready for Review sends a post to Ghost as a draft with a private workflow marker. Another authorized staff member can pull review-ready work into their Review queue, inspect it, and publish with their own Ghost account.
This is a simple Ghost-backed handoff, not live co-editing. Spectrapress does not currently provide comments, assignments, or reviewer notifications, and every action remains limited by the permissions of the connected Ghost staff account.
Manage more than one publication
Keep local libraries separated by Ghost site and switch directly between configured publications. A draft stays associated with its intended site so a post is not accidentally sent to the wrong publication.
Use the right device for the moment
Capture an idea or make a quick edit on iPhone, settle into a longer writing session on iPad, and use the full workspace on Mac. Drafts and locally stored images synchronize through your private iCloud account when iCloud is available.
iCloud and Ghost synchronization both require a network connection. Updates may take time to reach another device.
Keep control of your account and content
Your Ghost password is sent directly to your Ghost site for sign-in and is never saved by Spectrapress. The resulting session, or an optional advanced Admin API key, is stored in Apple Keychain on the device.
Spectrapress does not place a publishing proxy or Spectrapress account service between you and Ghost. You decide when to pull, review, and push.
